Speeding Grandma

Grand View, Idaho

The road less traveled might just be Whitted Lane in the rural farm town of Grand View, Idaho. Except for the fact that its namesake—84-year-old Milly Whitted—loves to drive. And over the course of decades, while raising 200 foster kids and five of her own, she’s had plenty of good reasons to motor up and down the one mile road to her farmhouse with its epic 1,000-acre view. Full of childlike joy and a penchant for speeding (she says you get fewer tickets once you become a grandma), you’ll still find Milly in her white Cadillac cruising anywhere and everywhere (and sometimes in the middle of nowhere).
